
Paul "Anchor" Amey

Anchor is flying the silver RV-8, nicknamed the "FAUX FIGHTER”. He is a homegrown KC pilot. He went to Benedictine College and graduated from the University of Central Missouri. He earned his Navy Wings of Gold in 1990. He flew the FA18 Hornet and F5 Tiger accumulating over 1000 hours in each airframe. More importantly he survived 247 carrier traps onboard the USS Kitty Hawk. He soon wised up and joined the US Air Force Reserves at Whiteman AFB, MO flying the A10 Warthog for the KC Hawgs. He accumulated another 1600 hours. Anchor retired after 30 years of military service with over 3700 fighter hours and over 360 combat sorties in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is also a former contract fighter pilot for Draken International flying the L159 Honey Badger and a part time crop duster pilot flying an Air Tractor during the Summer months. He was hired at United Airlines in 1998. He currently is a Capt/LCA on the 757/767. Total Time over 10,000hrs.
Anchor is type rated in the B777/767/757/737, A320, F5, T38, L39 and L159. He is married to Renee Wozniak Amey and they have 4 kids. Anchor resides in Maui, HI.
